Olympic Bumper Plate Set 60-150kg

Grabbed these on the 3 for 2 special. Been building my own gym slowly slowly woth second hand stuff but this offer was too good to pass up

I’ve been delighted with my Northern gym equipment and this is my third separate order following a bar, bumper plates, slam balls and plyo boxes which have all been excellent. This toast rack however falls well short of what I’d expect. You can’t neatly place 2x20 plates together or even two slots of 1x20 and 1x15 meaning I’m just jumbling bigger plates with 5kg or a 10 kg - first world problem, but this is for organisation right?
One of the stands was bent away from being vertical on arrival, and one of the castor wheels also cracked on arrival too. Disappointed overall

Your prices are always more competitive than others offering the same . I ordered some weights that were too big for my grip and replaced them with the metal handles which are so much better fit small hands . Great customer service

Really can’t go wrong with the quality of Northern plates. They are also probably the cheapest per KG in my opinion.

I didn’t have high expectations given the price but very pleased with purchase. I bought a pair of 5kg (the cheapest on the web by a margin) and 10kg bumpers and I am very impressed with the quality. Only time will tell but they look and feel solid. The rubber appears vulcanised and therefore very hard wearing and it does not leave any black marks on hands or give off a bad odour (like cheap rubber does). The weight is well within margins - the 5kg were just 10g over (!) and the 10kgs were each around150g over. Also customer service was great - I had a slight issue with my order that was quickly resolved by the Northern team. I highly recommend getting your hands on a pair of Northern bumpers - you won’t be disappointed! 😉

Good price and quality, I would recommend. I purchased the 60kg set so will now be buying an 20kg pair.

Northern Olympic Bumper Plates Pair - 5kg x 2 (10kg)

I recently ordered a barbell and 60kg weight set from Northern and paid extra for express delivery (1–2 days). The weights arrived within the promised timeframe, but unfortunately the barbell did not.

Despite placing my order on 26th April, the barbell didn’t arrive until 19th May — almost four weeks later. This was despite a resend being arranged and around a dozen emails exchanged during that time. While Northern were quick to reply to emails, the process took far too long and the responses lacked much compassion or accountability.

To make matters worse, the barbell also arrived without any weight collars, meaning I had to purchase these separately.

Northern only refunded the additional express delivery charge rather than the full delivery fee, which was disappointing given the circumstances.

That said, their communication was consistently prompt, which is the reason I’ve given two stars instead of one.
